Bengals | Andrew Hawkins ahead of schedule
Cincinnati Bengals WR Andrew Hawkins (ankle) is not wearing a boot or cast on his injured ankle and believes he is ahead of schedule. Hawkins is still a candidate for the Injured Reserve/Designated to Return list.
Footballguys View: A positive sign for Hawkins here. If healthy he’ll compete for playing time as a slot receiver. The Bengals currently have a battle going on for WR2 behind A.J. Green between Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones.

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski does some work at practice
New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back, forearm) did some agility drills during practice Monday, Aug. 26, and looked smooth while performing the drills. He is expected to miss several games even if he does not start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Footballguys View: As we get closer to the start of the regular season we’re getting a few bits of information about Gronkowski’s recovery. While he misses time we will see more from UDFA Zach Sudfeld. We would be shocked if he’s on the field week one, but may be able to get back the first month of the season.
