Patriots | Angry Vince Wilfork cleans out locker

After being asked to alter his contract, New England Patriots NT Vince Wilfork asked for his released, and stopped by his locked to grab his belongings before storming out of Gillette Stadium. According to two sources, an angry Wilfork ripped his name plate off his locker stall, and cleaned out his locker. Wilfork seems convinced he is done in New England.

Kendall James of Maine looks like third-day draft pick

Representatives from eight NFL teams were at Maine’s pro day on Monday to check out cornerback Kendall James go through a workout indoors on FieldTurf. James (5-foot-10 1/2, 184 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.40 and 4.42 seconds. He also had a 10-foot broad jump. He stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. James had a good pro-day positional workout, displaying good recovery speed and instincts. He is a likely third-day selection (fifth- or sixth-rounder) in the 2014 NFL Draft. Asa Watson, brother of Ben Watson, a possible draft pick

Representatives from all 32 NFL teams were on hand for North Carolina State’s pro day on Monday. There were 12 prospects who worked out both indoors (for the runs and jumps) and outdoors (for the positional drills). Dontae Johnson, CB (6-foot-2, 198) — Johnson stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine. Johnson is a tall and lengthy player who had a nice positional workout. Darryl Cato-Bishop, DE (6-2 1/2, 257) — Cato-Bishop ran the 40-yard dash in 4.97 and 4.94 seconds. He had a 29 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-1 broad jump. There were 28 NFL teams represented — including an offensive line and special teams coach from the New England Patriots, a linebackers coach from the New York Jets, and a linebackers and tight ends coach from the Cincinnati Bengals — on hand for Iowa’s pro day on Monday. A total of 13 players worked out indoors on a brand-new FieldTurf surface. Conor Boffeli, G (6-foot-3 7/8, 304 pounds) — Boffeli had a 30-inch vertical jump and did 28 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press.
