Bills | Harrison Phillips inks rookie contract

Buffalo Bills DT Harrison Phillips signed his four-year rookie deal on Wednesday, May 30.

Footballguys View: A third-round pick out of Standford, Phillips gives the Bills a big body (6’3″ 307 pounds) in the middle of the defensive line. A former state champion wrestler, Phillips understands leverage and can win at the point of attack with brute strength. He could begin his career as a rotational player who can stuff the run and get after the quarterback if/when asked.

Dolphins | Leonte Carroo to have minor knee surgery

Miami Dolphins WR Leonte Carroo (knee) is expected to have minor knee surgery to ‘clean up some issues.’

Footballguys View: A third-round pick in 2016, Carroo is on the roster bubble since he’s only made 10 catches as a pro. He will miss minicamp next week as a result but he is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in July.
