San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick wants to leave the 49ers and join the New York Jets, according to sources. The Jets are aware of and intrigued by Kaepernick’s aspiration, but they are still in the early stages of their offseason planning and evaluation, according to sources.

Footballguys View: It’s interesting that Kaepernick would want to leave now that Chip Kelly is the head coach. If somehow/someway he ends up with the Jets, we’d be intrigued…largely because of OC Chan Gailey. For years, Gailey has been able to adapt his system to get the best out of his quarterbacks.
