Kevin Jones, from KNBR.com, reports San Francisco 49ers GM John Lynch was gushing about rookie TE George Kittle in a recent interview. “One thing you have to be able to do, when you’re down near the red zone and everything tightens up, you have guys who man-on-man can just beat the guy in front of him.” Lynch said. “We feel like George Kittle maybe gives us something where he is that guy, in a one-on-one situation you can flex him out, put him in the middle of the field and he can kind of impose his will and just out-athlete people. That has been extremely positive. We thought that coming in, but he probably exceeded our expectations.”
Footballguys View: Another day and another positive report about Kittle. It’s a drumbeat we just can’t ignore. Kittle will begin the season behind Vance McDonald on the depth chart. A fifth-round pick out of Iowa in 2017, Kittle has the speed/athleticism combination to challenge a defense on all three levels. We love these reports for dynasty leagues, but Kittle is unlikely to have much value for redraft fantasy owners.
