San Francisco 49ers’ CB Jason Verrett (Achilles’) is expected to remain in the Santa Clara area during the break leading up to training camp and hopes to be able to return to the field when camp begins. He was unable to participate in OTAs and mandatory minicamp while recovering from a torn Achilles’ tendon.
