Updating a previous report, 49ers S Jimmie Ward (clavicle) will undergo surgery Friday, May 24, to repair a broken collarbone suffered Thursday, May 23, during organized team activities, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Team sources told Rapoport that Ward will be out for eight weeks but is expected to be ready for training camp.
