San Francisco 49ers RB LaMichael James (knee) and WR Jonathan Baldwin are both active for the first time this year in Week 4 against the St. Louis Rams Thursday, Sept. 26. James was being bothered by a knee injury and Baldwin was a healthy scratch the first three weeks.
Footballguys View: We expected James to get more reps this year but he hasn’t been healthy. It will be hard to gauge how much of an impact he has until we’ve seen him play a few snaps. Until then he’s someone you have to keep on the bench if you even want to hold a roster spot on him. Baldwin has as good a chance as anyone to produce some fantasy points in a wide receiver group which has been all Anquan Boldin “and friends.” He’s always been a talented player whose head seemed to get in his way. We’ll see if Harbaugh can change that.
