San Francisco 49ers QB Nick Mullens is likely to start in place of QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) in Week 3.

Footballguys View: No surprise here. Mullens is a quarterback the team has believed in for some time. He’s a good game manager who can run the system as designed. The 49ers have been ravaged by injuries on both sides of the ball, so Mullens isn’t a great fantasy option …even in start-2QB leagues.
