The Chicago Bears agreed with free-agent DE Jared Allen (Vikings) on a four-year contract.

Footballguys View: Allen got 15.5 milion guaranteed over the first two years of the deal, showing along with Demarcus Ware and Julius Peppers that once-great pass rushers can still get paid when they are past their prime. Allen, like Peppers, stays in the NFC North. The Bears have added Lamarr Houston and Willie Young in addition to Allen to revamp a decimated DL.
