The Chicago Bears re-signed QB Jay Cutler to a seven-year deal. Terms have not been disclosed.
Footballguys View: We thought the Bears might try to keep Jay Cutler at home and knew he might get a little more money and/or years due to the lack of viable starting quarterbacks entering free agency but WOWSERS. Seven years, even not fully guaranteed, is a long term commitment (even if we know it’s not really seven years). On the other hand, with the offense locked down around Cutler, the Bears can now focus on defense, which was the real issue this season.
