Bears | Matt Nagy won’t be at minicamp

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy has been identified as a high-risk close contact for a family member who has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be limited to virtual participation in the the team’s upcoming rookie minicamp, according to a report Thursday, May 13.

Footballguys View: Rookie minicamp isn’t what it used to be. Stretching, exercising and install is the order of the day now that rules have changed. It’s a tad more complicated than that, but it’s not the actual football practice rookies used to be subject to. Bottom line, it’s fine if Nagy is away from the building during this part of the process. He’ll be able to watch all the film from practice and be involved with Zoom meetings, etc.
