The Buffalo Bills opened $7 million under the salary cap when QB Ryan Fitzpatrick’s contract came off the books June 1. He’ll cost them $3 million this season and $7 million on next year’s cap. They could use the room to sign S Jairus Byrd to a long-term deal.
