Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone scolded WR Da’Rick Rogers in practice Friday, June 31, after the rookie wideout taunted CB Ron Brooks after beating him on a 15-yard reception. Rogers stood above Brooks for a moment after the defender had fallen to the ground.
Our View: Rogers is incredibly talented but has some maturity issues that helped cause him to slide to the ranks of the undrafted in this year’s class. The team added Rogers on a ‘one-shot’ deal according to Marrone and he won’t have much room to make mistakes as a rookie. Rogers led the SEC in catches as a sophomore at Tennessee but was dismissed prior to the 2012 season due to multiple failed drug tests and issues with coaches. He then transferred to Tennessee Tech and caught 61 passes for 893 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior.
