The Denver Post’s Mike Klis estimates that the Denver Broncos’ passing offense would reach its peak if Demaryius Thomas gets 85 receptions and Eric Decker and Wes Welker each net around 75. Klis contends that the strength of this passing attack must continue to stem from outside receivers.
Our View: Nobody expects Welker to duplicate the numbers he had with the Patriots. However, he should still be an every week fantasy starter. The Broncos are going to use an up tempo offense to keep defenses on their heels in 2013. The Denver Post puts his ideal number around 75 catches but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Welker with 90 catches in 2013.
