The Denver Broncos waived C J.D. Walton Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Footballguys View: The Broncos needed to clear a spot for DE Jeremy Mincey. Walton was the starter for this team last year, but a severe ankle injury cut his season short. He spent the entire offseason recovering from this injury, but Walton was not the starter when he was healthy enough to play. Manny Ramirez has done a fine job most weeks as the starting center. His emergence allowed the team to move on from Walton.
