Denver Broncos president John Elway said he expects QB Peyton Manning to return for at least another season even if the team wins Super Bowl XLVIII against the Seattle Seahawks. ‘I’m sure hopeful he’s not going to,’ Elway said. ‘I’d be very, very surprised if he walked away. I think he wants to walk away with every record that was ever put in the record books as far as offensive football or quarterbacking. So I think he’s got a lot of football left in him.’
Footballguys View: So long as he passes his physical (like every other player) then Manning should continue playing. He had the best season of his career in 2013, and the coaching staff is staying intact for 2014. Manning may not throw for 55 touchdowns in 2014, but 35 or more is likely.
