Denver Broncos QB Mark Sanchez (thumb) injured his left thumb in the weight room Thursday, May 12, and underwent surgery Saturday, May 14. He will miss a few organized team activities, according to Mike Kils of 9news.com.
Footballguys View: The Broncos are already microwaving the learning curve of rookie first-round pick Paxton Lynch. This injury to Sanchez is only going to give the rookie more exposure and reps in practice. The team has Trevor Siemian too, but he’s just a big arm and clipboard holder. Perhaps while Sanchez is out the Broncos will sign a veteran camp arm.
