Broncos | OC pleased with Drew Lock’s progress

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock has left offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur ‘very impressed’ this offseason with his ability to ‘keep up with the (offensive) installations.’ ‘I think he’s got a really good feel for the game. He’s developing a good feel for what we want to do. If the rumor is true that he’s throwing to our players, I think he’s learning something there. We’ll just try to put it all together here come July,’ Shurmur said.

Footballguys View: Lock has a lot of new weapons around him as the Broncos look to upgrade an offense that only scored 17 points per game in 2019. We’ll see what Lock can do in his second year and first full season as a starter. As a rookie in 2019, a thumb injury knocked him out for most of the year. He did start five games for the Broncos, going 4-1 in those contests. We’ll see if the momentum they built last year can carry over to 2020.
