The Denver Broncos may be setting up a red-shirt year for rookie first-round QB Paxton Lynch according to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post.
Footballguys View: Lynch is the future of the team at the position, but he could use a year of development after a college career at Memphis spent in the spread system. There’s plenty to get used to working from under center in the play-action heavy Gary Kubiak offense. We love Lynch’s upside, but unless he dazzles in training camp we should see Mark Sanchez as the team’s starter in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers.
