Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield is high on Cleveland Browns consultant Scot McCloughan’s draft board. McCloughan has already endorsed Mayfield as his top quarterback in this year’s draft class, describing the polarizing signal-caller as a ‘shorter Brett Favre.’

Footballguys View: The Browns have the no1 and no4 pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. They will secure two of the best players in this draft if they keep those picks. While Mayfield may be seen as a mid- or late-first round pick, the Browns may want to scoop him up in the top five. With teams like the Broncos (no5) and the Jets (no6) behind them, the Browns may want to just secure Mayfield’s services and start grooming him as the quarterback of the future.
