The Cleveland Browns have been granted permission by the New England Patriots to interview offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

Footballguys View: McDaniels is back in the head coach rumor mill, and he might be the guy the Browns had their eye on when they fired Rob Chudzinski after less than one year as head coach. Bill Belichick had a mostly unsuccessful first stint as a head coach with Cleveland, maybe they think they can get the same kind of second-job success with McDaniels.
