Cleveland Browns LB Jabaal Sheard expects to play a similar role to what DE Mario Williams did in the Buffalo Bills defense last year with head coach Mike Pettine working with him. “With this scheme I’m a little bit more of a defensive end, so I get to rush a little bit more,” Sheard said after practice in mandatory minicamp. … “More like Mario. They paid him a lot of money, so you know they got him going after the quarterback.” Sheard thinks he could be heading into the best year of his career based on the way Pettine plans on using him. Sheard had played defensive end in a 4-3 system his entire life until last year. Sheard will remain an outside linebacker under Pettine, but he won’t be used nearly as much in pass coverage.
