The Cleveland Browns will conduct a private workout with Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel before the 2014 NFL Draft. General manager Ray Farmer, head coach Mike Pettine, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains will attend the workout.

Footballguys View: The Browns have been quiet about this class of quarterback since changing over their head coach and front office early in the offseason, but they have to thoroughly workout the contenders to be sure that they aren’t passing over a rare chance to get a viable NFL starting quarterback through the draft. The new CBA makes the rookie salaries so attractive for a quarterback, even in the early first round.
