The Cleveland Browns have sought permission to interview Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase for their head coaching vacancy. They could also interview former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz.
Footballguys View: Rumor has had it that a lot of NFL assistants and coaches are declining (or at least not answering the phone) when Cleveland calls for an interview. We’re not sure how true that is, but after the Chudzinski incident, the Browns may need to hit the college road to get a new coach-which has worked out for teams like Philadelphia.
