Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski said RB Trent Richardson (shin) will not play in the first preseason game but would have played if the game counted. RB Dion Lewis will be the starting running back for the game.

Lewis is built low to the ground and can change direction while maintaining his balance. His emergence could push oft-injured backup Montario Hardesty off the final roster.
