Buccaneers | Josh Freeman admits trade best option

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman admitted that the best option for him is probably to be traded to another team, in an interview with ESPN’s Josina Anderson. ‘You know, I don’t for a number of reasons,’ Freeman said. ‘But the bottom line is, if you want things to change, something has got to change. At the end of the day, yes, I think that moving forward, that might be, that is going to be probably the best option.’ The Buccaneers have yet to be contacted by other teams interested in trading for Freeman. He completed less than 50 percent of his passes in the first three weeks and had two touchdowns and three interceptions.

Footballguys View: Freeman isn’t going anywhere this year. He might not even be signed as a starter next year. He is only 25, so we are far from the last chapter in his story, but the precedent for young quarterbacks benched before their rookie contract is up isn’t great.
