Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman said he has a good relationship with head coach Greg Schiano, and they spend a lot of time together during the offseason talking about a wide range of things football and life related. ‘The entire off-season, I’ve been in constant communication with coach,” Freeman said. ‘I had a lot of time and sat down and talked with him about a number of things football related, life related. Me and coach, we’ve got a great relationship. Every now and then, somebody will call you and say, ‘Hey man, what’s up with you and your coach?’ But we know how it is. It’s something I’m not really concerned about it. I’m kind of living it and I know how it is.”

Our View: Freeman wasn’t a pick of the new regime in Tampa Bay. He’s considered a potential franchise QB but has yet to consistently play up to that label. We’ll see if he can be more evenly productive in 2013.
