Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman has requested a trade but now is pressuring the team to give him his outright release, which would allow him to receive his full $6.2 million remaining salary and sign anywhere he chooses. However, the team has no immediate plans to accommodate him, according to sources. The Bucs are already calling other teams to gauge interest in Freeman and so far, interest is mild. Freeman is currently in Stage 1 of a drug treatment program after it was revealed that he has a prescription for Adderall to treat ADHD. Last year, he took Ritalin, which triggered a positive test. The disclosure of this information could make it hard for Tampa Bay to trade him.
