Tampa Bay Buccaneers PK Lawrence Tynes (toe) has returned to his home in Kansas City, where he’s receiving additional treatment for his case of MRSA. RB Brandon Jacobs tweeted that Tynes has received a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) line. A PICC line is used when the patient is expected to receive antibiotics for more than a few days and allows him to return home yet still receive IV treatment, which can last for weeks or even months. The team seems likely to place him on the non-football-injury list to begin the season.
