Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Vita Vea (calf) is doing ‘better than we thought’ with respect to the calf injury he suffered Saturday, July 28, according to head coach Dirk Koetter, who admitted the team feared Vea may have initially suffered an Achilles’ injury.

Footballguys View: Vea was also seen with his leg immobilized on a wheeled device that allows him to move around without using it. The Bucs have plenty of defensive line depth and won’t need him back urgently, so we may not see Vea again this summer.
