Representatives from 17 NFL teams — including tight end coaches from the Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars — were present at McNeese State’s pro day on Monday, when eight players worked out outdoors on FieldTurf. The top attraction for those coaches was tight end Nic Jacobs (6-foot-5, 265 pounds), who was at the NFL Scouting Combine. Jacobs ran the 40-yard dash in 4.78 and 4.87 seconds. He had a 35-inch vertical jump and 9-foot-9 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.68 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.47 seconds.
