San Diego Chargers FB Le’Ron McClain, who is scheduled to make $2.5 million in base salary in 2014 as one of the highest paid fullbacks in the league, is unlikely to return at that salary cap figure, especially when he played in just 12 percent of the team’s offensive snaps last season.
Footballguys View: The Mike McCoy system doesn’t really use a fullback all that often. McClain could hit a rather cold open market. That’s the way it goes for aging players at that position.
