The San Diego Chargers have reached out to unrestricted free-agent WR Steve Smith (Panthers).

Footballguys View: Smith would be a nice fit in this offense. Keenan Allen was fantastic last year but has to beware the sophomore slump, we don’t know if Malcolm Floyd will play again, Eddie Royal is aggressively mediocre and Vincent Brown is still an unknown. They need the help and even if it’s just a few years, Smith would provide it.
