Footballguys View: We’re pretty sure Alex Smith is now a bridge quarterback in the hopes Pat Mahomes will be ready to go as starter in the next year or two and this is a clear sign that Reid is a part of that grand plan. Of course, a disastrous season or two could change that, but for now it seems like this regime is here to stay.
