Kansas City Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster is lining up everywhere eligible for a receiver in training camp. He has delivered some big plays. ‘One million, five hundred and thirty-six ways that I can get the football,’ McCluster said of his role in the Chiefs’ offense. ‘This offense is wide-open. You get opportunities everywhere. It’s a fun offense.’
Footballguys View: Andy Reid may finally be the one who figures out how to use McCluster. He’s been a player without a position during his time in the pros. McCluster is a weapon who can be used effectively as a runner and receiver out of the backfield. The Chiefs need to find weapons in the passing game behind WR Dwayne Bowe. We could see McCluster fit that bill in 2013.
