Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes says he’s well on his way to shedding three to five percent of his body fat by training camp as he’s well into an offseason running and weight-lifting regimen. ‘I’ve gotten more muscular and (have) less baby fat, I guess you would say,’ Mahomes said in a Yahoo Sports article published Tuesday, June 2. ‘So that’s been the big thing for me — sculpting my body in the best way possible so I can go through the season and feel just as fresh at the end as I did at the beginning.’
Footballguys View: It’s going to be fun to see what Mahomes can do for an encore in 2019. Last year, Mahomes threw for 50 touchdowns and over 5,000 yards passing. This year, Mahomes may not quite reach those numbers but he’s still an elite-level passer and one of the best in the game. Mahomes has a current ADP of QB1 (3.05) in 12-team PPR leagues.
