Kansas City Chiefs QB Ricky Stanzi is the only quarterback on the team’s roster not acquired by new head coach Andy Reid and new general manager John Dorsey, and he finds himself fighting for a roster spot. QB Alex Smith is the unquestioned starter, and QB Chase Daniel is the top backup. That leaves Stanzi and QB Tyler Bray fighting for the No. 3 job. ‘We’re splitting reps. I’m just really worried about the reps I got. It’s been nice to be out here a couple of days early just to refresh with the playbook and kind of get up to speed with the guys, especially with the receivers.’
Footballguys View: Stanzi has a strong arm but struggles with accuracy. Bray has a stronger arm but struggles with accuracy as well. We’ll see if Bray can struggle less and thus stick around on the final roster or the practice squad.
