The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to look to trade QB Matt Cassel this offseason but likely will not find a trade partner because Cassel is scheduled to make $7.5 million in 2013 and $9 million in 2014.

Our View: There’s cold. There’s ice cold. Then there’s the trade market for Cassel. We don’t see any team offering much (if anything) for the veteran QB. Every team knows the Chiefs are likely to release him now that they’ve traded for Alex Smith.
