That battle is expected to intensify during training camp, but both will see playing time, no matter who is the official starter. Head coach Chuck Pagano has stated he wants a workhorse running back, however.

Footballguys View: The Colts surrendered a first-round pick for Richardson, and he will be given every opportunity to win the starting job. The natural talent is there with Richardson, but he ran with little confidence last season after getting traded from Cleveland. We’ll see if he looks better this year as he’ll be more familiar with the system.
