Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent QB Dak Prescott may skip offseason workouts if he does not receive a long-term contract this offseason. Prescott is expected to receive the franchise tag.
Footballguys View: That wouldn’t be a surprise to see Prescott stay away from the facility while a new long-term contract is worked out. With the franchise tag, the Cowboys would be able to have until mid-July to work out a contract for Prescott. With quarterbacks and the tons of money involved, taking extra time (if you’re the Cowboys) and extra precaution (if you’re Prescott) makes sense.
