Cowboys | Ezekiel Elliott issues apology

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott issued an apology Tuesday, July 2, for his involvement in an off-field issue in May for which he was detained but not arrested. Elliott met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell earlier Tuesday.

Footballguys View: Goodell still has to make a decision whether or not to suspend Elliott because of this incident. Even though he wasn’t arrested, Elliott made ‘The Shield’ look bad and per NFL policy does face league discipline. We don’t think Elliott gets suspended for this latest occurrence.
