The Dallas Cowboys have officially fired head coach Jason Garrett on Sunday, Jan. 5, and Garrett has allowed them to do so, a source confirmed.

They’ve now officially ended Garrett’s time as their head coach and have already begun their search for his replacement. Former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy reportedly had a good visit with the Cowboys brass and he may be considered the front-runner in this job search but it’s super early.
