Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo said he can still play for many years after undergoing back surgery at the end of the 2013 season. ‘I’ll be able to play for a while,’ Romo said. ‘There are way too many cases where you see people come back; Troy Aikman had it — they won a Super Bowl the same season. Joe Montana comes back and wins two Super Bowls. They had the same surgery.’
Footballguys View: We’ll see Romo as the man in charge for the Cowboys for the near future. The team payed him a hefty price to be the man, and they passed on Johnny Manziel in the 2014 NFL draft. The Cowboys would not have done that if they had any concerns about Romo’s long-term availability.
