The Miami Dolphins learned Sunday, July 28, that WR Armon Binns (knee) is out for the season, and WR Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) will be sidelined several weeks with an undisclosed ailment. The two were considered the favorites for the No. 4 and 5 receiver jobs. With those two on the shelf, WRs Chad Bumphis, Jasper Collins, Jeff Fuller, Marvin McNutt, Andrell Smith, Kenny Stafford and Brian Tyms all find themselves competing for a bigger piece of the pie in training camp and the preseason. Matthews could still end up being the team’s No. 4 receiver unless he is forced to start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.
