Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa (hip) relocated to South Florida over the weekend and began training at the team’s Davie facility Monday, June 15. ‘He’s a little bit ahead as far as where we would like him,’ said Kevin Wilk, a renowned physical therapist who had been working with Tagovailoa. ‘We’re constantly trying to slow him down just a little bit because an athlete like that is just chomping at the bit just begging to get back out there. He wants to do more and more so we have to hold him back. And really, that was from the beginning. He always wanted to do more.’
Footballguys View: Tagovailoa is hopefully going to be the franchise quarterback the Dolphins haven’t had since the days of Dan Marino. If healthy, Tagovailoa certainly has an elite-level skill set as an athlete and as a passer. We’ll see him compete with Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting job this season.
