The Philadelphia Eagles traded up and selected Vanderbilt WR Jordan Matthews with the 42nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Footballguys View: The Eagles get a big, aggressive wide receiver who will be good in the red zone but struggle to get separation as he lacks the speed to break away off the line. Throw it up for him though and he will go get it. We’ll have to see where he falls in the pecking order, but he could be a nice fantasy receiver in the next few years, especially in leagues who score heavy for touchdowns.
