Philadelphia Eagles OT Lane Johnson reportedly agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension worth $72 million – including $54.595 million guaranteed – on Friday, Nov. 29. The deal would be the largest contract for an offensive lineman on a per-year and guarantee basis in NFL history.
Footballguys View: Johnson was considered roughly equal to Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher at the time of the 2013 draft, but obviously their careers went in different directions. The Eagles made a wise move by locking him up well before he hit free agency.
