Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles said he’s not worried about signing a contract extension with the team. According to the collective bargaining agreement, he isn’t even eligible to sign an extension from his rookie year contract until after the 2014 season. ‘I’ve always said how I play, how our team is, how I am as a leader — that will all take care of that when the time comes,’ Foles said. ‘I’m really just having fun out here. I’m having fun with my teammates. I’m having fun playing the game.’
Footballguys View: Foles has a different approach this offseason as the starter. His mind is at ease, and he’s working hard to hone his skills within the Chip Kelly offense. We’ll see if he can take that next step this season after a strong 2013 campaign. Any sort of extension/contract situation will work itself out.
