California QB Jared Goff or North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz falling to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 2 overall is fine with the team as they’re looking to ‘invest in quarterbacks,’ according to Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman.
Footballguys View: They are tight with Rams ownership so, if the Rams know (and we believe they do) then the Eagles know who they are getting. As GM Howie Roseman has said that they know who they are getting and referred to a rookie quarterback, we’re guessing they moved up knowing what was happening. We think Wentz would be a good fit for this offense and he could sit behind Sam Bradford for a year while he developed.
